GPS Audio Guided Tours in Iceland: Golden Circle, South Shore & Reykjanes - Budget

GPS Audio Guided Tours In Iceland

Budget offers audio guided tours in Iceland with My Way, a new type of Iceland day tour whereby it’s just you, a nice car, the open road, the Icelandic landscape, and a GPS system that puts you in control.

The My Way audio guide GPS system mixes modern technology with traditional storytelling. It works by mapping your geographical locations during your self drive tour and recognises your position at any given time, which then plays audio specific to that location, such as facts and figures, history, and geography.

My Way fits in all cars at Budget, like any normal GPS navigation unit. Just turn it on and enjoy this unique audio guided tour (either in English or German), as you drive past some of Iceland’s greatest landmarks and points of interest.

There are three self drive tours on offer with My Way:

Golden Circle Tour - Iceland’s most popular day tour; The Golden Circle, a route which encompasses many of Iceland’s most famous landmarks.

South Shore Tour – This 400KM tour will take you along the south coast of Iceland, passing glaciers, volcanoes, black sand beaches and moss-covered lava fields, all the way to the charming village of Vík.

Reykjanes Peninsula Tour – On this tour you will come across hot and colourful sulphur springs, dramatic lava fields and the border between the Eurasian and American tectonic plates.

The great thing about the My Way audio tour is that the device always knows where you are. Its commentary starts and stops by itself allowing you to leave the car, go for a walk, eat lunch, or just stop and rest, and automatically starts up from where you left off.

For each tour you can select a car that suits you; there are numerous vehicles available, with some suitable for up to nine passengers.
